“The United States of America won’t stand for a socialist New York City, never mind the Upper East Side. And not to mention the real estate moguls who’ve fallen in love for the first time with the current mayor, Eric Adams. They view him as the best bet against the pro-Palestinian and socialist Mamdani, whose policies would be bad for business.”
“Already, fundraisers are being held in the Hamptons and uptown, with high rollers writing checks and making pledges to support Adams, who looks as if he just won the lottery. Dapper and smiling while shaking hands, Adams is the sudden beneficiary of New York City’s richest residents.”

I know some ExPats from this society happily living away from here in PC, UT. Used to know them when I lived back there. I've a bit more of a picture of what's happening in the city again after talking with my down to my buddies my age in Westchester and Fam in NJ. I've got close friends in Manhattan as well.
This fundraising stuff not surprising. The people who stayed who are banksters, real estate, and asset managers they just started to get used to the city not being completely awful. Now this dude happily talking about Palistine, socialist grocery stores, wacky zoning laws, and no immigration enforcement....
Not going to go over well with that crowd at all and I expect he'll rake in the funds. He'll benefit by not being Trump or an R Bigly but if he hews to the Trump line I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for him to get on through the Conservative party ticket (avoiding a write in) and actually building momentum.
I feel like tearing off my clothes and dancing in the rain (snow on Tuesday). Ofc I'm entirely too old to do that. But...
We were SO right.
Here's Snoop, who rapped "F--K Donald Trump" in 2017, now performing at a Trump supporting inauguration party.

Young Trump voter here.
I don’t want my any weapons going to Ukraine.
I don’t want us to sanction Russia.
No Amnesty please!!
I don’t want us to constantly keep giving Israel weapons and military aid.
I want to see the Epstein list.
I don’t want to be drafted for a stupid overseas war.
I want Trump to focus on domestic policy (trade, immigration, and the economy).
What the hell has happened to this administration? So much good, yet at the same time so much bad.
Separating “the wheat from the chaff” as Pundnuts try to assert “Trump is MAGA” when MAGA is MAGA! Do we have to spell it out for people who make a living - talking - about politics that MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN is about Americans remembering the first rock thrown at British soldier, the box of tea thrown into Boston Harbor, the first “Shot heard ‘round the world” and the last signature pressed into our Declaration of Independence. Trump just tapped into the bloodline of Americans realizing we were losing our Country and when Trump taps out - MAGA will remain until the United States… disintegrates!
Watching people attempt to "unskew" polls conducted by all walks of this industry—ranging from Nate Cohn at The New York Times to Spencer Kimball at Emerson College to Tim Malloy at Quinnipiac—all to deny Donald Trump's gains against Joe Biden with various voting blocs, is more than a little sad.
The slew of recent polls over two weeks—to include no less than four today alone—have simply confirmed prior findings published from other pollsters who have previously been "unskewed". That includes your's truly and our work at BIG DATA POLL, Mark Penn at Harvard University, Patrick Ruffini at Echelon Insights, and many others.
I'm temped to equate this with an Occam's razor-like situation. But this debate is more about likelihood than simplicity.
Here's the Presidential Vote Preference Trend for Biden v. Trump going back to August 2020. The Public Polling Project did not begin asking the Rematch Question for 2024 until September 2021. However, we can still make some pretty important and interesting observations.
