My first public statement on the Charlie Kirk political assassination / political terrorism

I was roughly 25 meters to Charlie’s right when the bullet struck his neck. It felt like I was watching this event on rails moving towards an Inevitable horrible conclusion even before the bullet struck him.
Arrival & first impression
I walked into the UVU amphitheater area around 10:20. The sightlines and ledges jumped out—elevated positions and windows with direct views of the stage. It did not feel right. In that moment I thought: this setup could be lethal. That feeling proved prescient.
The crowd & the reach
The room was full of people who clearly travel to be reached by Charlie. I spoke with organizers, students, and volunteers. There was a theater major who would have skipped the event only because of class—otherwise she would have been there. Charlie’s draw is historical and unique; comparable figures are rare. That’s why this attack matters: he was not a marginal figure — he was moving national politics.
What I observed (before and during the attack)
• The stage, ledges, windows and crowd density made for a hazardous setup.
• Certain questions from the floor had an odd cadence — the “trans shooter” question stuck out as rhetorical bait. I called it out as suspicious in real time because it matched patterns I’ve seen where provocative framing escalates confrontation.
• Because of my camera strap and a certain delightful influencer the investigators were led on a wild goose chase to meet my expensive camera. Nothing was seized and I honestly had a great time shooting the breeze with the locals (SLCPD and my city within the limits, plus SL County sheriffs). Feds were also not bad and could take humor. I preserved audio, images, and raw notes. The metadata is intact.
Aftermath & chain of custody
All recordings, timestamps, and images are archived and uploaded to the repo linked above. By going in a GitHub you can always see when the date anything is uploaded or changed and go back to prior commits.
What needs to happen next — concrete asks
The locals and feds should be searching for someone who was providing a live audio feed going to the shooter. Either a data driven system via cell phone or radio.
Community volunteers: forward vetted materials (images, short clips, witness contact info) to the repo or my email. Do not repost raw, unvetted content in public channels where it can be weaponized.
Media & insiders: hold the line on facts. Reject rumor and focus on chain-of-custody evidence.
My commitment
I will personally stay active in Utah with local volunteers and investigators. I will push to identify collaborators, informants, and any persons who facilitated access or created the conditions for violence. This is about legal accountability, not theater. We either draw a line here, or we risk repeating it.
Repository & contact (submit vetted content)
Repo: https://github.com/apiskadlo/Charlie_Kirk_Assassination_Vetted
Email (secure): [email protected]
If you have direct, verifiable evidence (images with EXIF, timestamped videos, witness contact info, ticket logs, photos showing specific individuals in elevated positions), submit via the email above. Include a short provenance note and how you obtained the material. I want the flow of information to be slightly cleaner.
Charlie deserves a full, legally sound accounting of what happened. I will continue posting updates to the thread and the repo as vetted evidence and investigative leads develop. Stay factual. Stay focused. Stand for accountability. @PeoplesPundit @LauraBaris
I feel like tearing off my clothes and dancing in the rain (snow on Tuesday). Ofc I'm entirely too old to do that. But...
We were SO right.

Like I said in the video this morning, I was thinking that I'd very much like to do a fairly large study on political violence as quickly as possible, perhaps even this weekend.
It may fail miserably, but we all know there are deeply concerning, large swathes of the population who believe that using political violence is justified.
We should be adding to this discussion in a positive way before this moment passes and it was all for nothing. I truly feel that we gave this issue a pass after Butler, in part because of the election and in part because President Donald Trump survived that assassination attempt.
It was a grave error I'll regret, forever.
When I get back, I'll go over some proposed changes to make it look better and do a media round if possible to promote it. But for now, please like, share and contribute to the campaign. Let's get it as funded as we can and get it done.
P.S. It can also be found on the Public Polling Project's main page, but this will be the main url....
I've read a few places that a database of now more than 50,000 names is going to be released of people posting vile things about Charlie. Good. I hope it includes the names of their employers too. My rage doesn't subside. No I'm not like them. I won't harm a flea. I won't post anything vile. But I will joy in watching them suffer the pain of being ostracized from society.
Watching people attempt to "unskew" polls conducted by all walks of this industry—ranging from Nate Cohn at The New York Times to Spencer Kimball at Emerson College to Tim Malloy at Quinnipiac—all to deny Donald Trump's gains against Joe Biden with various voting blocs, is more than a little sad.
The slew of recent polls over two weeks—to include no less than four today alone—have simply confirmed prior findings published from other pollsters who have previously been "unskewed". That includes your's truly and our work at BIG DATA POLL, Mark Penn at Harvard University, Patrick Ruffini at Echelon Insights, and many others.
I'm temped to equate this with an Occam's razor-like situation. But this debate is more about likelihood than simplicity.
Here's the Presidential Vote Preference Trend for Biden v. Trump going back to August 2020. The Public Polling Project did not begin asking the Rematch Question for 2024 until September 2021. However, we can still make some pretty important and interesting observations.
